BC Indigenous Housing Society CEO Brenda Knights Named to the 2026 BC500 List

BC Indigenous Housing Society (BCIHS) is proud to congratulate our CEO, Brenda Knights, on being recognized in the 2026 Business in Vancouver (BIV) BC500—an annual publication celebrating British Columbia’s 500 most influential business leaders.

A proud member of the Kwantlen First Nation, Brenda has dedicated her career to advancing Indigenous housing, reconciliation, and community development throughout British Columbia. Her inclusion in this year’s BC500 reflects not only her exceptional leadership, but also the growing recognition of the vital role Indigenous-led organizations play in shaping the province’s future.

Under Brenda’s leadership, BCIHS has continued to expand its impact by creating safe, culturally supportive housing while strengthening partnerships with Indigenous communities, governments, and industry. Her vision has helped advance innovative housing developments, increase opportunities for Indigenous families, and champion reconciliation through meaningful action.

“This recognition is a reflection of the incredible work being done by our entire team, our Board of Directors, our partners, and the communities we are privileged to serve,” said Brenda Knights. “Together, we are creating lasting change and ensuring Indigenous people have access to safe housing and opportunities to thrive.”

The BC500 recognizes leaders who have made significant contributions to British Columbia’s economy, industries, and communities through innovation, leadership, and public service.

Please join us in congratulating Brenda on this well-deserved honour. We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to continuing our work together to build stronger, healthier Indigenous communities across British Columbia.
